Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how the Northern Gifts website (northerngifts.fi and northerngifts.se) uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They let a website remember your actions and preferences (such as language) and keep secure areas working. “First-party” cookies are set by this website; “third-party” cookies are set by other domains.
2. Our approach
The website is built to be privacy-friendly and uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies. It does not set analytics, advertising, profiling or social-media tracking cookies, and it does not load third-party content that would set such cookies. In particular:
- Fonts are self-hosted, so no external font service (such as Google Fonts) is contacted and no IP address is shared with a font provider.
- There are no analytics or tag-manager scripts and no advertising pixels.
- The site embeds no third-party widgets (no video, maps or social buttons).
Because only strictly necessary and functional cookies are used, no cookie-consent banner is required at present. If analytics, marketing or other non-essential cookies are introduced later, an opt-in consent mechanism must be added so those cookies load only after the user agrees.

4. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, including blocking them or removing existing ones. Blocking the functional language cookie will not break the site, but it may not remember your language choice between visits.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. The current version and date are shown at the top.
